About Me

Social Media consultant, Political commentator and Journalist.

I have past experience working for radio stations including Spark, a community radio station based at the University of Sunderland where I was a journalist and radio presenter for over 3 years.

I have also worked on a Freelance basis for Metro, CFM, TFM and Magic, commercial radio stations which are part of the Bauer network.

Briefly, I worked in print, working for Sunderland Post, a free local newspaper in the City of Sunderland. I stayed with the paper for a number of issues before leaving, the paper didn't succeed ultimately but the experience in print journalism I got there was invaluable.

I graduated the University of Sunderland in 2013 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Broadcast Journalism. At the end of year student awards I also won the award for 'Best Speech Based Radio Programme' for 'Being LGBT' a weekly discussion programme broadcast on Spark all about issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans gender community.

I'm an avid Tweeter and tweet mainly about politics and current affairs, since 2009 I have gained a social media following of over 6,000 unique followers. I have a particular interest in LGBT rights and activism.

I now live in Birmingham, UK and am currently studying for a Masters degree in Social Media at Birmingham City University. I also work part time as a receptionist at a nursing home for elderly people in Yardley Wood.
